Matches on Saturday 1 October

Matches are against Manchester Grammar:

2nd XI, U15 and U13 are away - the coach will leave at 9am and should return by 12:30pm. Please note the change in fixture for the 2nd XI.

U14 and U12 are at home - players should arrive by 9:30am.


The 1st XI are also at home against Manchester Grammar but this match is in the second round of the Boodles ISFA cup - kick off 10am - players must arrive by 9:15am.

Good luck this week!

The U13 play St Bedes College on Wednesday in the Investec ISFA Cup. The match is at Hulme and kicks off at 2pm.

The 1st XI travel to Culcheth High, also on Wednesday to play in the English Schools Cup - kick off is at 3:30pm and the estimated return time is 6pm.

Plate Champions



Well done to the sixes team who won the plate.


Despite losses to MGS and Dulwich the team beat City of London (3-1), Oswestry (4-0), Worth (4-2), Cobham (2-1) and in the plate final Bradfield College (4-3 on penalties after 0-0 in normal time)

A Fantastic effort by all nine of the players.












Good luck this week .......

to the senior teams who are heading to Shrewsbury School on Wednesday.

The coach will leave at 11:30am and should return to school for 6:30pm.

And to the U'15s who are going to Ackworth School in Pontefract on Thursday to play in the first round of the Investec ISFA Cup. Kick off is at 3pm. The mini-bus will leave at 1:30pm and should return for 6:30pm.

ISFA Sixes

Good luck to the nine members of the first team who are going to Charterhouse School in Surrey to play in the Sixes.

The tournament is on Sunday 11 September and the team will face Manchester Grammar, Dulwich College and City of London in the group stage.

a2om sixes at Repton

The team put in a very commendable performance at the ISFA Sixes. They came third in the group with wins against Ibstock Place (1-0) and Forest School (2-0), draws against QEGS, Blackburn (1-1) and Highgate School (0-0) and one loss against Oswestry (0-1). In the quarter-finals of the plate they drew 0-0 with Bolton School but were eliminated on penalties losing 5-4.

The U'14 play Meols Cop in the second round of the English Schools Cup on Wednesday

Also in the English Schools cup the U'12 play Siddal Moor in the second round on Thursday.

Boodles ISFA Cup - 1st Round Result

Hulme 2 Malvern College 1

Hulme scoreres: Zak Forster, Adam Myers
Hulme Man of the Match: Jordan Marsh
Notable perfomances: Danny Harrop, Danny Orr, Bradley Norcross, James Summers.
Managers comment: I had hair before this job! A good result in the end with a very important equaliser one minute into the secod half, well done Zak. Some good rear guard action at times after Adam's free-kick goal. Overall, the boys done good!
We await the Captain's report with anticipation.

The 1st XI play Malvern School at home in the first round of the Boodles ISFA Cup this Tuesday. The game kicks off at 2pm and all spectators are welcome.

Sixes Results 2009

The Hulme results from today's Independent Schools Sixes at Chigwell School, Essex sponsored by a2om driving school were as follows:
Group Matches
Hulme 0 Hampton 0
Hulme 2 Westminster 1 - Hulme scorers were Michael Tomlinson and James Summers
Hulme 0 Repton 3
Hulme ended third in their group and went into the plate competition.

Last 16 of the plate knock out competition
Hulme 1 St Columbas 2 - Hulme scorer was Bradley Ashford.

Hulme man of the tournament was Josh McConnell.

The full squad was; Tyler Moulton, Josh McConnell, Danny Harrop, Danny Orr, Alessio Scappaticci, Adam Gledhill, Bradley Ashford, Michael Tomlinson, James Summers.

Managers comment: The boys did well considering how sixes is so different to the normal football they play. It's amazing how basic errors cost you goals, games and your place in the tournament. Remember that for next year!
